Before I completely break from high stress levels of working 5-6 days a week, packing up my entire apartment and completing new cosplays I thought I'd drop a line and write about what's next.

Soooooo next is Triad Anime Convention! It's my first year attending this convention but it's run by the amazing people who run Ichibancon so I know I'll have a great time. I'm attending as a panelist with the North Carolina D20 Girls. I'm cosplaying with the adorable Miss Mina (www.facebook.com/CosplayerMiss…) all weekend. I am making two new costumes and one new coordinate.

Friday will be for my casual Umi from Magic Knight Rayearth. So I have an excuse to wear the wig again and I've always loved the outfit. Plus it's something casual and easy since I will be coming to the con straight from work.

Saturday will be dedicated to the release of "Fancy Mami" (assuming she get's done to my liking, if not it may be a reprise of school uniform Mami >.<). Everyone is cosplaying from Madoka these days and it's no wonder, it's an awesome anime. One of the few animes I've watched in the last 4 years. So I wanted to put my own spin on Mami since she's been done so often and well so often. I am adding my own personal flair, tastes and cosplay signature on her. The fabric is gorgeous and I couldn't be more excited.

Sunday will be Sunday Lolita Funday! I'm pulling out an EGL look. ^.^

Nashicon will be next! This is also my first time attending this convention. I'll be there with the South/North Carolina D20 Girls. ^.^ And I'll be debuting Sailor Venus as part of Mina's group "Special Moonie Force." So adorbs. I'm pretty pumped about everything but facing the fact I may have to use satin. ALL THE HATES. Ugh, I just feel like even expensive nice satin looks cheap. But I am pretty excited about being my favorite scout and cosplaying with some great people.

Pending on my work load, and how my pending move goes I may make another cosplay for this event as well. Maybe something beach themed.

After Nashi is Port City Pop Con and Animazement. So looking forward here is what I'm thinking:

I need to take AZ easy this year because I have three conventions in June alone, busy, busy, busy!!!

I've been neglecting Deviant Art, and well pretty much anything other than Facebook. I've been really busy with work and conventions. I came to the startling realization that the only two months I don't attend at least one convention during is March and April. It doesn't leave much time in between for throwing my face all over the internet seeking approval :-p (LOVE ME DAMN IT)

ANYWAY

Next up is Ichibancon! I'm going first weekend and I'm super pumped. I get time with some of my favorite ladies: Beth, Liz, Mina, John (see what I did there?), Courtney and other D20 Ladies. I've got some fun costumes planned:

Female Solider- Team Fortress 2
         This one is going to be total pin up style! It's the only one I have about 90% done. All I have to do is hem my dress. I have an excellent and HUGE rocket launcher courtesy of my good friend TJ. Me, Liz, Court, and Beth have a whole group. ^.^

Sailor Venus- Sailor Moon (Fruits Illustration)
        Doing this one for Mina, she makes the best Sailor Moon. I'm excited though because I love Venus and I get to carry a pineapple! A PINEAPPLE. Liz is also joining us as Neptune. She'll be lovely.

Deco Fruits Lolita Coord
       ZOMG this one is fun and over the top! I'm making this one on request by Liz, she's doing a sweets version. I'll be wearing this for the NC D20 Girls Lolita panel.

Mami Tomoe- Madoka Magica
       I watched Madoka Magica and fell in love, magical girl anime always has a place in my heart but I love the dark take in this one. Mami is my favorite character not only in design but characterization. I know Madoka Magica is going to be EVERYWHERE at cons this year but I don't care. I love this character, so I'm going to join the party. For Ichi I'm making her school uniform with a... twist? You'll see! It's a great surprise. I'll be making her magical girl get-up for Animazement with a full group. It's going to be lovely!


THEN COMES KATSU!

Katsu is going to be a bit tricky. I'll be working at the Barter Theater in the costume shop for whole time leading up to it so it really depends on what I can get done in my spare time. I'm not used to working 40 hours a week because my main job isn't paid hourly. It'll be interesting, but at least I'll have amazing resources like CUTTING TABLES to get everything done. Here is what I'm looking at having.

Faris- Final Fantasy V
       Let the Amano party continue! I've had the fabric for this one for over a year. My mother has been bugging me to make this one, it's her favorite character. So this one will be a definite. It's the best con to debut it at anyway since pictures near the harbor will be incredible.

Freya- Chobits
      My beautiful friend Alex has requested this group. She wanted us to cosplay together and we came up with this duo. I think it'll be fun and my costume will be fairly simple to construct and a lot of fun to embellish and wear. Because I have a friend relying on me it'll be 100% for sure.

The rest are kind of up in the air pending on how much work I can get done in my spare time:

Steampunk Poison Ivy
     To accompany the lovely Rikku Cosplay! She wants to do these and I really can't say no to time with the tits to my ass. Plus it'll be fun to pull together.

Maria- Castlevania: SON
    I have all the supplies but yet I keep putting it off because I get more excited about other projects.

Garnet- Sakizo Illustration
    Fingers crossed on this one, it's so beautiful! It depends on how easily I can come by the supplies I'll need while up in the middle of the mountains.
