Here we go... CON REPORT. I figure if I don't do it right now then it will never get done. Going into this you should know the theme of the weekend for my friends and I was quickly defined as: "I am prettier than you so I'm having more fun than you, and my friends are prettier than you so they are having more fun that you" con. Basically my friends and I had an excellent weekend feeling like BAMFs, which is how it should be right? I am a firm believer in the power of self confidence, if you're feeling pretty and epic then you will have a great time. Which we did.

Thursday- Also Known As Flying Saucer Night

Checked into the hotel with my awesome roomies from the League of Hot Geeks: Joepool and Rikku Cosplay and my friend Alatariel Cosplay. Then we headed over to the convention center to pick up badges and say hello to people I haven't seen in forever. Then we trekked over to the Flying Saucer for the Pre-con 21+ celebration. Once there we met some excellent new friends like "Dapper 'Stache" a.k.a. Brandon Burton, and "Shrugs" or Steven LeBlanc. Also got to chill with old friends I haven't seen in a while: Deanna, Chris H. and Devon. And harass co-workers. Got pretty drunk at the bar before heading over to Devon's room for some "Apple Pie" YUM. Back at our room I discovered a great friendship love for Joepool, he's my new best guy friend. Eventually fell asleep.

Friday- SO MANY PHOTOSHOOTS

Alex decided to be up at 6:30 in the morning >.< which made for a really slow get up process for me. Regena came at 10 am to do my makeup and make me look freaking boss. My first costume of the con was Sakizou's Terra. The costume was recieved very well even though few people seem to recognize the character they really liked the craftsmanship and general design. I felt pretty! I had one photoshoot originally planned with M-Squared Photography (who are awesome to work with, by the way) that turned into several more mini shoots because people liked the costumes. I feel like that speaks for itself. Entered Craftsmanship but nothing came of it, honestly didn't expect much. I made the costume in a week and a half, wore it to Katsu, and then took it out of a box and threw it on for AZ. Not the most fore-thought was put into it *shrug*. The most important thing was I had fun wearing it and I felt pretty. After judging I went back to the room and took a nap. Michael woke me up with a sammich <3 and then I got the motivation to change into Princess Venus for the Sailor Moon group shoot. The only reason I did was for John, because he was the prettiest Mars ever and asked me to be his Venus. How can you turn down an epic trap? After the SM shoot I went back to the room, got my drank and my Fallout costume on and went to Anime Hell. I got so many good reviews of my costumes that I couldn't stay in Hell long due to excitement, so Alex and I spring for freedom to go wander "the wastes." This is when I got my best compliment of the weekend: "Ma'am, DAT ASS."
I mean... how can you not get pumped about that? Alex, Trista and I wandered that night with my camera and took some shitty photos and some video. I was far too drunk to be holding my camera but we got some funny footage that would be used for three videos I made from the weekend (linked below). Eventually I passed out in the room to the sweet tune of Trista's drunken ramblings, and Joe and Michael talking pathfinder.

Saturday- DAT ASS/FLANK

Saturday morning I tried my best to get up and out in time to catch more of cosplay chess before making it to another shoot with M-Squared. Sadly I didn't make much of it, because it was silly early this year >.<. Which was tragic because I missed Courtney and Alex in the match. I was also sad that I didn't even get to apply because I never dreamed it would be held so early and scheduled an early photo shoot instead. >.< But I would not have traded this shoot for anything in the world. My Fallout costume was the best idea I ever had. I can't believe it took me this long to make it, I had the most fun wearing it because of how obsessed I am with the game series. Plus having my boyfriend as my Arcade Gannon was priceless. I don't know about you but I always ship the courier with Arcade. I felt absolutely unstoppable in my costume. Like pin-up magic. I haven't even seen anything other than a few shots on the back of their camera but I just KNOW the shoot will be awesome because of a. how comfortable Kristi and Mike made me feel and b. of how beautiful I felt. I am like constantly on Facebook just waiting for a teaser shot, it's gross. :-p
After getting some lunch I decided it was getting too warm outside to be in a full denim body suit, so I went to change into Rarity. Thanks to Trista I got my amazing purple and black lashes on which really made the costume for me. I wandered around con with Kelly and Daniel for a bit before the Pony shoot, which was alot of fun. All of the Rarity's were FABULOUS. It was a good deal of fun to be involved in such a major fandom for this year's convention. After the shoot Michael and I took a seat in the lobby to people watch for a bit until our group's private pony shoot with Midday Enchantments.
After the shoot Trista and I went and grabbed some shots with Courtney. Double Rikku shoot FTW. The girls were so cute! Trista, Joe, Michael and I grabbed some food and then hit Masquerade. Is it just me, or is the AZ Masq being attended and entered much less with each increasing year? This was my first AZ since I began attending 11 years ago that I didn't enter. It was kind of sad, but less stress I guess.
After Masq, we all headed to the room, but before getting there encountered a wild SEX ROBOT. Seriously made my night, no lie. Back at the hotel while changing into my Fallout Costume again the power went out! Which was pretty hilarious for us since it was like... OH SHIT THE LIQUOR IS GONNA GET COLD, AND THE ICE MACHINE WON'T WORK WITHOUT POWER! I finished my makeup in the hallway where there was light and we headed downstairs. Really at this point Michael and I got the feeling that half the con was just in a TERRIBLE mood. It was a total buzzkill. Fake ass bitches pissing off my girls, crying people in bathrooms, bitchy people yelling at my boyfriend for fucking walking near them. Shit was nuts. Instead of getting caught up in the bad mood insanity Michael and I got a hot-dog, packed up the car and went home to sleep. GLORIOUS SLEEP.
Oh yeah Saturday was day of ass-tacular costumes. DAT ASS.

Sunday- ZOMBIES and Orchid

Stupid tired on Sunday, wandered the dealer's room, bought one really beautiful D20 to make a necklace out of and several pieces of art. One artist, who I am totally going to stalk once I stop being too lazy to retrieve her card gave me a free print. It was amazing. I think I have enough art to go above the couch now. Michael also bought me a lovely necklace that summed up the weekend for me, it says: "Love Your Life." I really do. I have the best friends and this weekend really reminded me of that.
After con I dropped Alex back at the airport :-( and then we met up with Kelly, Daniel, Roger, Trista, Joe, and Vash for ORCHID. All you can eat sushi onomnomnom!

Now I am feeling like a post-con zombie, anxiously awaiting photos and missing my friends from out of town.

I know we already said this on Facebook, but we're SO glad we go to shoot with you! It's nice to hear that you felt comfortable during your shoot too, as that is one of our main goals of a photo shoot. We don't want to come off like that foreign photographer dude that randomly interrupted our Terra shoot like, "CHIN DOWN! EYES UP! *Snaps picture and walks away...* :P

We can't wait to get back to working on your sets! The Fallout shoot was one of our favorites from the weekend between you and your awesome self, your cosplay and being willing to try to find somewhere sketchy to take pictures at. (No thanks to Raleigh for being so clean...) hahaha
